Ethical Business. No Exceptions.
At Scietech Records Management, we are committed to ensuring that modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and exploitation have no place in our operations or supply chains. We recognise our responsibility under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and take proactive steps to uphold ethical and transparent business practices throughout our organisation. We operate with integrity and accountability and expect the same standards from those we work with. As a provider of secure records management and document destruction services, we understand the importance of trust and responsibility – not only in our service delivery but in how we treat people across every level of our operations.
Our Commitment to Prevention
We do not tolerate any form of modern slavery or human trafficking within our business or from those we engage with. All employees, whether permanent or temporary, are treated fairly and lawfully, with employment terms that meet or exceed national legal requirements. We conduct right-to-work checks on all employees as part of our recruitment and onboarding processes. Our suppliers and contractors are expected to share our values, and we reserve the right to terminate any agreement where evidence of non-compliance is found.
While we consider the risk of modern slavery in our business to be low, we remain vigilant and regularly review our supply chain relationships to ensure compliance. We carry out due diligence checks where appropriate, particularly when engaging new or high-risk suppliers, and seek confirmation that ethical practices and modern slavery safeguards are in place.
We provide internal training to relevant staff to raise awareness of modern slavery and to help identify potential risks within our operations and supply chain. Managers and supervisors are briefed on their responsibility to remain vigilant and to report any concerns without delay.
We encourage openness and maintain a culture where employees feel safe to raise concerns. Any suspicions or evidence of modern slavery should be reported to management, and we follow a clear whistleblowing procedure to ensure that all concerns are handled confidentially and investigated appropriately.
